tomorrow olive will be 6 months old. it's hard to believe it's been 6 months. it's hard to believe i'm a mother to such an amazing baby! i can't imagine my life without her. or what i did before her. she is this perfect combination of brian, me and herself. she has so much personality already. she is her own little person and we are lucky enough to be her parents.
brian got me a mother's day card. he hasn't written me many cards or letters since he was in the army, since he was deployed. he used to write the best letters. a letter a day, sometimes two.i guess those letters are the only think i miss about him being deployed... but back to mother's day. this is what the card read,
"grow old along with me! the best is yet to be!" - robert browning
we woke up and took a walk in to town. it's been a beautiful day, with the trees blowing in the wind. we went to brunch at radici this afternoon with my mom. brian ended up joining us at the last minute, as did jess and harlow. brian had flowers waiting on the table for me. very sweet.

such a great first mother's day! next, father's day. we are heading to dc to see the sox play the nationals in their new stadium. it'll be nice to be back in dc for a few days!
