it's been a while...
so what's new? we are back in maine for starters. as much as we would have LOVED to stay in dc, it was just too expensive as a family of four. so, we are back in our house, closer to family and starting new jobs/positions. dc was amazing and we are so happy we moved back there again. it will always be my favorite place to live - we had jack there after all :-) but boy is it nice to be back in a slower-paced town where olive can leave the house, hop on her bike and come home in an hour. where jack can run around in the backyard. where we can see friends and family.
brian has been at his (not-so-new-anymore) job for one year and just got promoted to a new position which he starts in september. i just got a job at a montessori school in nh, teaching and olive will be going for lower el. jack is in daycare, but we look forward to him joining olive and i next year.
the kids are getting BIG! it's nuts how fast time flies. just look at the last year and a half since i posted. not only does time fly but we are always on the move.
while we didn't do the family vacation we were hoping to do this summer, we managed to keep plenty busy. i started my montessori early childhood training (which consumed the month of july), olive attended a few different camps and we managed to escape for a drive here and there.
here are some pictures of life lately -
