the latest

Olive's 12 month appointment is next week. Just as she turns 13 months. She is growing so fast. She's running up and down the hall way, right now, with a toy of Dylan's, laughing and waiting for Dylan to chase her. He won't. He's content with waiting it out, or until she drops it near by so he doesn't have to exert too much energy.
Olive talks up a storm these days too. Telling stories, most of which we don't understand, but she sure gets a kick out of herself. She also has some actual words down. She can tell Dylan to stop - "dop" (he doesn't listen very well, but that pretty much the general consensus lately). She loves to yell for Brian's attention when he's in another room - "DADA." She says bye-bye ("ba-bow") to everyone. She's been asking for a banana every morning by pointing to the kitchen counter - "nana." She signs (clumsey fist to side of her mouth) and says "mama." And unfortunately already knows the word no - "nah." She also knows if you ask her what a sheep or dog say - "baaaa" or "woooof." She's testing us every chance she gets. Standing on her rocking chair, looking right at us, shaking her head and saying no. We take her down, just for her to smile and stand right back on it. Opening and closing anything she can and throwing herself to the ground when she's overly tired and cranky (definatley inherited from me).
All in all we are kept very busy. Brian is coming to the end of his first full time semester and I am just waiting for my two week holiday break. We are just getting by, but as happy as ever when we're together as a family.
